Simple Pleasures

Life has it's way of giving us simple pleasures and today I was given one, some extra time with my daughter. Just some couch time together facebooking, reading our Zite magazine, just time together. Enjoyed some food not that I would classify it as "good" but it was filling and I was thankful to have it.

I am thankful for all of God's blessings no matter how small or insignificant they may seem to others. It pays to be thankful for the small as well as the large. God can be found in all things if we just look and I want to be found looking more and complaining less.

Time spent with those we love is time well spent in my book even if you aren't doing anything earth shaking. That kind of time gives your world a calmness and a contentment that nothing else can and I appreciate those precious moments that she was willing to spend with her grandmother and myself.

All too often families become separated by life's happenings and forget what time spent together can add to their lives. Let us all remember that the life you see someone living is more than likely waiting on you down the road so take a little time out of your day and give it to someone you love and remember that love isn't love until you give it away.
